To Whom It May Concern:
I am contacting you with regards to an ITV programme called Britain’s Best Dish 2009 to request that you contact your Angling Club’s members on our behalf by email or in a newsletter if you one run one regarding our show.
Britain’s Best Dish 2009 is a contest to find Britain’s very own best starter, main course and dessert. We are looking for ordinary people (i.e. people who aren’t head chefs with years of experience behind them) to cook their signature dishes and enter them into the mix. The overall winner receives the ultimate accolade of ‘Britain’s Best Dish’ and receives a £10,000 cash prize.
The first part of the show involves auditions around the country in which the amateur chefs face a panel of judges: John Burton Race, Jilly Goolden and Ed Baines, and they pitch their dish hoping to get through to the next round which involves cooking in the studio. There is no cooking at the auditions but some people may bring a pre-made dish to show the judges.
For the North West these Auditions are 18th April – Liverpool: St George’s Hall, William Brown Street, Liverpool, L1 1JJ.
People from all professions and walks of life attend the auditions and it would be absolutely fantastic to get some anglers pitching dishes involving fish that they have caught themselves.
If you’d like to register your interest or simply find out more, then contact us at bestdish@itv.com or give us a call on 0871 626 6222.
Thank you in advance for your help; and do let me know if you would like to put any family, friends or colleagues forward for the programme.
If you have any questions or would like the information in a different form such as posters, flyers or a press release please feel free to send me an email or call me on my direct line on 0207 157 4678.
Best Regards,
Edward Phillips

Missed the opportunity, but I do cook a decent Paella and just thought that I could add a few chunks of rainbow for a change. Now that would be different!
If anyone wants my recipe(s) - years of making them in Spain, then let me know.
